DUBUQUE, IOWA - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team played on the road for the first time, dropping a close game with Loras College.

THE DETAILS
• After allowing the first goal, Benedictine responded with three straight to take the lead
• Victoria House tied the game just moments after Loras opened the scoring
• Sam Tikalsky put Benedictine ahead with 24:49 left in the half
• Loras scored five straight to nab a 6-3 lead
• Benedictine countered with three in a row to tie the game on two from Lexie Orr and the equalizer from Tikalsky
• Loras scored two more and held a 10-7 halftime advantage
• Kaylee Garcia scored midway through the second as Benedictine pulled within 12-11, but the hosts scored the next two and never held less than a two-goal margin the rest of the way

STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine held a 37-34 edge in shots with 27 on goal
• Tikalsky scored five times, caused four turnovers and collected three draw controls
• Madison Horan scored four times and added an assist
• Ries McCue totaled eight draw controls as Benedictine notched 21 for the game
• Amaris Hernandez recorded 12 saves in the game
