Box Score AUBURNDALE, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team insured leaving the spring break trip with a winning record after swinging past Ripon College on Friday morning.

THE DETAILS
• After riding the pitching staff all week to the tune of one earned run over the last four games, the offense took center stage on Friday
• Playing as the visiting team, Benedictine jumped ahead with a run in the top of the first
• With one away
Kamrin Hoffmann was hit by a pitch
• Cameron Falk drove home the first run with an RBI single
• Ripon was able to tie the score with a single tally in the bottom of the second
• Benedictine erupted for eight runs in the third inning, all with two outs
• Jack Surin tallied a triple and scored on an RBI single from
Chase Patterson to make the score 2-1
• Brenden Norberg notched a two-run double, scoring Patterson and
Kyle Mitter
• With the bases loaded against a new pitcher,
Nicholas Quick logged a two-run single
• Falk and
Jack Feeley added RBI singles while the final run crossed on a double steal
• Ripon plugged away, scoring in the bottom of the inning and adding four in the fifth to pull within 9-6
• Surin scored on a squeeze in the seventh, making the score 10-6 before Ripon added two in the bottom
• Benedictine added two unearned runs in the ninth to account for the final
