Softball Ends Spring Trip With Win

The Benedictine University softball team ended their annual spring break trip with a 2-1 win over Buffalo State. The Eagles leave Florida 8-2 on the year.

THE DETAILS
• Buffalo took an early lead after tallying their only run of the game in the first inning
• The Eagles quickly tied it up in the second when Abbey Plutz doubled down the left field line and was driven in with a Kaitlyn Velazquez single
• Benedictine took the lead in the fifth after a single from Asia Robinette scored Plutz who tripled to right field earlier in the inning
• Alexandra Loizon held off the Buffalo State offense in the seventh to secure the win
