Softball Sweeps North Central

Three Eagles homered as Benedictine University softball took two from North Central College to move to 10-2 on the year.

THE DETAILS
• North Central scored first, tallying a run in the first inning
• Benedictine collected six runs off of five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning
• Kaitlyn Velazquez and Asia Robinette tallied RBI's before Taylor Skraba picked up her first homerun of the year
• The Cardinals threatened in the seventh, but it wasn't enough as BenU would go on to win 6-3
• This was North Central's first loss of the season

• North Central took another early lead in the first, 1-0
• Benedictine responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the frame
• In the second inning, Faith Chada and Fast both tallied RBI's to take a 5-1 lead
• North Central collected three runs over the next three innings
• The Eagles had a monster fourth inning, tallying five runs off of five hits including a two-run bomb from Abbey Plutz
• Emily Moore secured BenU's win in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run homer to left center field
• Benedictine had 16 hits in the game
