Men's Volleyball Slowed by Dominican

In a battle of two top-15 teams, #5 Benedictine University and #14 Dominican University battled to five sets. The Stars tallied 70 kills and hit .315 in the match to win 3-2.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine trailed early in the first set, 9-3, and Dominican collected 17 kills and hit .464 for the 25-17 win
• In set two, the Eagles took an early lead, going up by as many as six
• A Frank Hesik kill secured the Eagles 25-21 win
• Tied at one set each, Benedictine took the 2-1 lead after tallying five straight points from Nick Malak that included two Elijah Medlock kills
• The Eagles totaled 16 kills in set three for the 25-20 win
• Dominican held BenU to just eight kills (.065) while they tallied 17 for the 25-15 win
• The Stars offense couldn't be stopped in set five, tallying 12 kills (.478) and going on two separate 3-0 runs for the 15-9 win
• As a team, Benedictine had 57 kills, 47 digs and eight blocks while Dominican tallied 70 kills, 48 digs and seven blocks
