The #5 Benedictine University men's volleyball team moved to 7-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action on Wednesday night with a sweep of Illinois Institute of Technology.

THE DETAILS
• Set one saw the Eagles take an early lead and never lose it
• A Jacob Strande kill gave Benedictine their biggest lead of the night, 13-5
• The Eagles would tally 14 kills and hit .458 for the 25-16 win
• Illinois Tech took a 14-12 lead in set two
• Benedictine rallied to go on a 6-1 run
• A Strande solo block gave BenU the momentum to take home the 25-18 win
• Set three saw five ties and two lead changes after IIT went on a 6-1 run to tie it at 17
• The Scarlet Hawks missed eight serves in set three to give BenU the 25-21 victory
• As a team, Benedictine tallied 36 kills (.368), 25 digs and six blocks
