Softball Tallies Split at MSOE

Benedictine softball moved to 8-4 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference after a split at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday afternoon.
 
GAME ONE FINAL

THE DETAILS
• MSOE got out on top first, tallying a run off of two hits in the first
• Benedictine responded in the fourth, with two outs, Abbey Plutz singled to second base and was driven in on a Kaitlyn Velasquez double
• An Emily Moore sac fly in the sixth gave BenU the lead
• In the seventh, the Eagles tallied three runs off of four hits including RBI's from Faith Chada and Ashley Fisher
• MSOE threatened in the bottom of the frame, tallying two runs, but Alexandra Loizon and the Eagles defense secured the 5-3 win

Loizon (11-4): 7.0 innings pitched, 3 earned runs, 4 strikeouts, 10 hits

THE DETAILS
• The offense could not get going in game two for the Eagles, tallying just seven hits
• MSOE took a 3-0 lead after five innings
• In the sixth, Fast singled to left field and a Moore single to center scored the Eagles only run of the game
