AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team played on the road for just the second time this season, falling at Aurora University.

THE DETAILS
• Aurora scored the first three goals of the contest
• Ries McCue struck for the first Benedictine goal with 24:53 remaining in the first half
• Trailing 7-2 late in the half, Emily Vellender and Lexie Orr scored consecutive goals to draw Benedictine within 7-4, but Aurora tallied the next four to lead 11-4 at the break
• Orr scored the first goal of the second half before Aurora tacked on five in a row to pull away
