LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University baseball team dropped both ends of a home conference doubleheader with Dominican University.

• Benedictine jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning
• Michael Chaffin led off the game with a double and scored when the next batter,
Jack Feeley, tripled
• Jack Surin logged an RBI groundout as Benedictine built the early lead
• Dominican cut into the deficit with a run in the top of the second and tied the game on a two-out homer in the third
• The visitors took the lead on an unearned run in the sixth and added two more single tallies against the bullpen in the eighth and ninth

• Ryan Miller was hit with the hard luck loss, allowing just two earned runs in seven innings

• Dominican grabbed the lead in the third with four runs, three of which came on a two-out bases loaded double
• Four more runs came around in the fourth for Dominican, two of which were unearned
• Benedictine drew within 8-4 by scoring twice in the fifth on a fielder's choice from Feeley and a double play
• Benedictine left eight on base in the second contest
GAME TWO LEADERS
• James Wright started and took the loss, throwing three innings
• Justin Sosa allowed two earned runs in two innings before Ryan Litzvecz spun four flawless frames, surrendering just two hits with a walk and three strikeouts
