MT. VERNON, Iowa - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team won a fourth straight conference game by taking down Cornell College on the road in Iowa on Saturday night.

• Benedictine broke open a close game in the second quarter, outscoring the hosts 7-1
• A man-up goal from Mateo Salceda with 5:57 to play in the opening quarter opened a string of seven consecutive goals from Benedictine
• Jacob Cunningham finished the run with 12:40 left in the second quarter as Benedictine scored five goals in less than three minutes
• Benedictine held a 12-3 lead at the half
• Cunningham scored late in the first half to ignite another stretch of six consecutive goals as Benedictine built a 16-3 lead in the third
