THE DETAILS
• Back-and-forth for much of the first set,
John Davis logged the first of five straight points for Benedictine to break a 15-15 deadlock
• Chase Olson finished the run with an ace and Benedictine led 20-15, putting enough distance between them and Loras to win the first
• Benedictine scored the first two points of the second and opened a 4-1 lead before Loras came back to lead 9-8
• Nick Malak put down a kill to tie the contest and begin a stretch of five in a row and Benedictine did not trail again
• The hosts led for much of the third set, utilizing a stretch of four straight early
• Benedictine slowly pecked away taking the lead at 17-15 with two kills from Malak sandwiched around an error, ending the contest on an error
• Benedictine hit .236 for the match
