LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team opened the season by rallying past Adrian.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine scored the first two goals of the game in rapid succession with Nic Perkins scoring and Colin Domek following after the ensuing faceoff
• The visitors scored the next three goals before Anthony Leahy evened the contest
• Adrian led 5-4 after hte first and scored the opening tally of the second to take a 6-4 edge
• Perkins opened a run of five straight goals as Benedictine grabbed control
• Joe Spahn tied the contest at the 11:41 mark on a helper from Mateo Salceda and Perkins ultimately put Benedictine ahead with 9:50 left
• Kody Sutton scored the final goal of the half on a pass from Thomas Tillett as Benedictine led 13-10 at the half
• Tillett scored late in the third as Benedictine put together five straight and cruised to the win

• Benedictine held a 40-32 edge in shots with 30 on target
• Both teams won 19 faceoffs while Benedictine converted on their lone man-up scenario
• All three goalies played with Evan Kilbane earning the win, recording seven saves
• Spahn scored six times while Perkins netted five
