TEAM OF THE WEEK

Benedictine University quarterback Tyler Jarnagin received multiple accolades heading into the bye week after helping lead Benedictine to a 54-40 win over Lakeland to remain unbeaten in the NACC. Jarnagin was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week and was also selected as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Jarnagin threw for 378 yards with five touchdowns and ran for another during the win. The five touchdowns were to four different receivers. The senior completed 29 passes in the win to seven different targets, two of which surpassed 100 yards. Jarnagin has thrown for over 300 yards in three straight and in five of the six games this year. Benedictine scored eight touchdowns in the game and Jarnagin was involved in six. The team also held the ball for a dominating 41 minutes, keeping the chains moving. 

The award marks the first in Jarnagin's career. Benedictine had not won an offensive award from the conference since 2017.

Benedictine (5-1, 4-0 NACC) is off this week before hosting Rockford on October 23.
