LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team broke a two-game slide by notching a non-conference win at home over North Central.

• Benedictine scored the first five points of the game on two free throws from
Brilan McCory and a three-pointer from
Alex Fanning
• North Central countered by scoring six straight to lead 6-5 and begin a back-and-forth affair
• Another three from Fanning just before the halftime buzzer enabled Benedictine to take their largest lead into the intermission at 32-24
• McCory hit a three early in the third quarter to push the lead to double figures at 36-26
• With 2:58 remaining in the third,
Jessie Carlquist made a jumper to put Benedictine ahead 48-36
• North Central scored the next five to pull within 48-41 headed to the final 10 minutes
• Benedictine led by 14 midway through the fourth but North Central came back to within five
• Sara Smith scored on a layup to make the score 68-59 in the closing minute to seal the win
