• Benedictine scored the first two points of the match on a
Jacob Grygo kill and a
Tim Folliard ace and did not trail, building an early 7-2 lead
• Leading 16-12, Benedictine scored nine of the final 11 points
• The visitors led for much of the second set, scoring the first three points
• Still trailing 13-7, Benedictine tallied seven straight to open a 14-13 advantage during a long serving run from
Martin Radomski that included two aces
• Grygo opened a run of five straight points to break a 14-14 tie and take the lead for good
• MSOE was able to tie the final set at 14-14 before a serving error and a pair of aces from
Mike LeGros opened a stretch of five straight and Benedictine scored 11 of the final 13 to win the match on a kill from Folliard
• Benedictine hit .313 for the match while MSOE hit just .063 with 20 errors and 14 service errors
• With a loss by Marian, Benedictine moved into sole possession of first place
