LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University softball team opened the year with a dramatic comeback win over Wheaton.

- Wheaton built a 9-2 lead early in the game
- Wheaton scored two in the top of the first before Taylor Skraba homered in the bottom of the inning
- Becky Roncone doubled home a run in the second after Wheaton added two more in the top of the inning
- The rally started with a sacrifice fly from Faith Chada
- Skraba singled home two to pull within 9-5
- Wheaton added another run in the seventh to lead 10-5
- Ashley Fisher led off the seventh with a single and scored on a single from Neena Franklin
- Two runs scored on an error as Benedictine pulled within 10-8

- Fisher singled home two runs with two outs to notch the comeback win

- Benedictine finished with 12 hits and overcame six errors
- Fisher finished with four hits while Skraba tallied three
- Megan Fast also tallied two hits
