LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University softball team suffered their first losses of the year, dropping both ends of a doubleheader to the 2019 conference champions.

THE DETAILS
• Both games were played as non-conference contests under the new schedule format set for this unique year
• Concordia Wisconsin scored a single run in the first of the opener and added two runs in the fourth
• Benedictine stranded a pair of runners on base in the second and fourth
• Concordia Wisconsin broke the game open with six runs in the fifth to grab the shortened decision
• The second game saw the teams trading zeroes until the fourth when Concordia Wisconsin opened a 2-0 lead
• Sara Allison doubled in the fifth and scored on an RBI single from Becky Roncone as Benedictine cut the deficit in half
• The visitors put six on the board in the sixth to grab an 8-1 lead
• Colleen Schmit hit a two-run homer in the sixth, but Concordia Wisconsin put the game out of reach with three more runs in the seventh
