THE DETAILS
• Marian opened the scoring in the first game with a solo homer from the first batter of the game and went on to open a 3-0 lead
• Benedictine got on the board in the bottom of the third when
Faith Chada crossed the plate on the back end after a rundown
• Single runs in the fifth and sixth extended the lead to 5-1 for the visitors
• Ashley Fisher lifted a sacrifice fly to account for the final Benedictine run in the sixth while Marian put three more on the board in the seventh to account for the final

• Marian responded with four runs in the second to grab the lead, utilizing a three-run homer
• Fast drove home another run in the third to pull Benedictine within 4-3
