MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University baseball team dropped an extra-inning affair in the cold weather at MSOE.

THE DETAILS
• MSOE jumped in front in the bottom of the first inning when a leadoff single turned into a run after a stolen base and an RBI single
• The visitors would not score again until the seventh inning
• With the weather cold, the bats for both teams struggled to create opportunities
• Benedictine took the lead with a pair of runs in the seventh
• Cameron Falk was hit by a pitch with one away and lifted for pinch runner

• Kyle Mitter singled and a double steal moved both runners into scoring position
• Nick Kosmetatos knocked home the tying run with a fielder's choice and
Jack Feeley singled home the go-ahead tally
• The hosts took advantage of an error in the bottom of the inning to tie the game and send it to extras
• With the bases empty and two away in the 10th of what was going to be a seven-inning game, MSOE used a pair of singles around a hit by pitch to walk-off with the win
• Due to the cold and length of the opener the teams agreed to play just a single contest
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine managed just five hits, two of which came from Feeley
• Benedictine stole three bases in the game
• Stephen Sewruk threw seven innings and allowed just one earned run on seven hits with eight strikeouts in a no-decision
• Simon Herold worked the final 2.2 innings and suffered the loss, striking out four
