LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University baseball team used the big inning to take down visiting Concordia Wisconsin in non-conference play on Wednesday afternoon.

THE DETAILS
• Weather shortened the doubleheader to a single game due to cold temperatures; The teams will look to play a second contest in the coming days
• Concordia Wisconsin jumped in front, scoring a single run with two outs in the top of the third inning against starter

• Brenden Norberg threw out a runner at the plate in the second inning
• Benedictine took the lead for good in the bottom of the third inning, scoring six times and taking advantage of an error
• Cameron Falk led off the inning by being hit by a pitch and Norberg followed with a single
• Ryan Doubek walked to load the bases and jack Feeley lifted a flyball to center that was dropped, allowing the tying run to score
• Following a pitching change,
Kyle Mitter singled home a run and
Jack Surin followed with a two-run single
• Damen Castillo also notched an RBI single in the frame
• Three more unearned runs scored in the fifth to make the lead 9-1
• Falk singled home Surin and Norberg knocked home a run with another scoring on the throw
• The game ended in the eighth without an out being recorded
• Surin doubled home a run and
Kevin Bushnell ended the affair with a three-run homer over the wall in left-center
• All games against the North Division are non-conference contests
• The victory marked the 100th for head coach

• Dudzinski threw a complete game, striking out eight while allowing just one run on six hits without issuing a walk
• The top four hitters in the lineup accounted for six hits, nine runs and eight RBIs
• Norberg notched three hits at the bottom of the lineup
