MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University softball team played on the road for the first time and tallied a sweep of Alverno.

THE DETAILS
- Benedictine scored three runs in the top of the first
- Taylor Skraba led off the game with a homer on the first pitch and
Megan Fast followed with a homer
- Skraba homered again in the second inning with
Faith Chada along for the ride to make a 5-0 lead
- Fast stroked a two-run single in the fourth as part of a four-run inning, scoring Chada and
Becky Roncone
- A throwing error allowed another run to score before a sacrifice fly from
Alyssa Gill
- Sara Allison throttled a three-run homer in the fifth to extend the lead to 12-0
- Skraba led off the second game with another homer and Benedictine scored four runs in the second to take a 5-0 lead
- Alverno came back with three in the bottom before another three-run outburst in the third
- Skraba kept up the big day with a two-run single and an error helped make the score 8-3
- Allison homered in the fifth and Skraba hit another two-run homer in the inning
- Gill also homered in the inning, a three-run blast
STAT LEADERS
- Skraba homered twice and drove home three in the first game
- Fast also drove home three along with Allison
- Alexandra Loizon struck out 12 in a complete game, allowing just two hits in the opener
- Skraba finished with three hits, four runs scored and five RBIs in the second contest
- Chada scored three times and notched three hits
- Gill drove home four while Allison tallied two hits, two runs and two RBIs
- Ashley Fisher earned the win with 3.2 innings of relief
