LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University softball team extended their win streak to four games headed into the conference openers with a sweep of visiting Mount Mary.

• Benedictine took control early in the opening contest, scoring three runs in the first
• Colleen Schmit roped a triple into the right field corner with two outs to score

• Asia Robinette notched an RBI single to bring home Schmit
• The lead continued to build with six runs in the second

Becky Roncone to score while Fisher plated two with a double

• Alexandra Loizon threw four innings to earn the win in the opener, striking out four

• The first inning was key again in the second contest with Benedictine opening a 5-0 lead
• Gill drew a bases loaded walk to force home the first run and Schmit followed with another bases loaded walk
• Benedictine drew six walks in the first
• Robinette knocked in a run with a groundout and
Sara Allison doubled home two
• Leading 5-2, Benedictine tacked on two more in the third on RBI singles from
Taylor Skraba and
Megan Fast, making the score 7-2
• Benedictine broke the game open with eight runs in the fourth
• Franklin tallied a two-run single with Skraba doubling home a pair
• Fast lifted a sacrifice fly and another run came across on an error
• Faith Karpowicz drove home a run with a pinch hit single and
Caroline Caesar logged a pinch hit RBI double

• Eight players tallied hits in the second game as Benedictine logged 11
• The top five hitters in the lineup accounted for 11 runs, seven hits and seven RBIs
• Skraba, Fast and Schmit all tallied two hits
