LAKE FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team played a non-conference match for the first time this year, falling at Lake Forest.

THE DETAILS
• Lake Forest scored four consecutive points in the first set to erase a 9-7 deficit and take the lead, never trailing again after holding as big as a six-point edge
• The hosts scored the first six points of the second and led 21-8
• Benedictine was able to score nine-of-11 to draw within 24-18 before the set came to a close
• Alyssa Mojica recorded a pair of aces while Molly Stock, Grace Knutsen and Brooke Huizenga notched kills during the stretch
• Lake Forest opened a big lead in the final set as well, holding advantages of 7-1 and 9-2
• Yngrid JeanPhillipe, Knutsen and Hannah Griffith tallied kills to help bring Benedictine closer
• Mojica tallied two more aces as Benedictine clawed within 21-19 and a pair of errors pulled Benedictine within 24-23 before Lake Forest closed out
• Benedictine hit .078 in the contest
