AURORA, IL - The sixth-ranked Benedictine University men's volleyball team won the first two sets but held off an Aurora rally to remain unbeaten.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine fell behind 3-1 in the opening set, but a service error opened the door to five consecutive points and Benedictine did not trail for the rest of the opening set
• Tim Folliard broke a 1-1 tie in the second with an ace as Benedictine built a 4-1 lead and did not trail again
• Martin Radomski opened the third with a kill and Benedictine led until the mid-point of the third when Aurora scored six of seven and ended the set by notching three in a row
• Aurora opened the fourth set with three straight points but a block from Radomski and
Chase Olson opened a run of five in a row for Benedictine to take the lead

Jacob Grygo logged three straight kills as Benedictine led 13-8
• Aurora scored the next five to tie the score and posted nine points in a stretch of 11 to take the lead
• Klimisch drew Benedictine to within 21-20, but Aurora closed out to force the decisive set
• Benedictine jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the fifth and did not look back
• Aurora closed to within 14-12 before a Radomski kill ended the match
• Benedictine hit .234 for the match with a .393 clip in the second and a .350 mark in the fifth
