MILWAUKEE, WI - For the second consecutive week,
Allison Michalski has been selected as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.
Michalski helped guide Benedictine to the South Division regular season and tournament championship by averaging 15.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per contest over the three games last week. Michalski netted 12 points in a Monday win over Aurora, added 14 in the conference tournament opener against Concordia Chicago and tacked on 19 in the South Division Tournament championship against Aurora. Michalski owns eight weekly awards during her career at Benedictine.
Benedictine (6-0) hosts Wisconsin Lutheran in the NACC Championship game on Saturday afternoon.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Benedictine University senior forward Allison Michalski (Algonquin, Ill.) and Wisconsin Lutheran College freshman forward Kaitlyn Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.)Â have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Basketball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 1-7, 2021, as selected by the league's athletics communication professionals.
Michalski helped Benedictine to both the South Division regular-season and tournament crowns last week by averaging 15.0 points and 7.3 rebounds over three contests. Her point and rebound totals increased in each game, opening with 12 points and five boards in Monday's regular-season finale against Aurora - a 68-41 win that gave the Eagles the No. 1 seed in the South Division tournament. Michalski followed that up with 14 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in a divisional tournament semifinal win over Concordia Chicago on Thursday before closing with 19 points and nine boards in a 72-64 win over Aurora Saturday afternoon to give Benedictine the South Division Tournament title. This is Michalski's second consecutive NACC weekly honor.
Shadoski averaged 15.0 points to capture North Division honors as WLC posted a pair of NACC Tournament wins last week. She posted 10 points, two boards, two assists, a block and a steal in the Warriors' tournament opener - a 73-43 win over Lakeland Thursday night. In Saturday's NACC North Division Tournament final against Edgewood, Shadoski posted a season- and team-high 20 points on 8-of-18 shooting while playing the entire 40 minutes as WLC posted a 66-58 win to advance to this weekend's NACC Tournament Championship Game.Â
