LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University softball team opened the conference schedule in a big way, recording a sweep of nationally ranked Aurora at home.

• The teams traded zeroes in the opener until late in the contest
• Aurora opened a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the sixth and added an insurance tally to take a 3-0 lead into the home side of the seventh
• Benedictine rallied with three runs to tie the game
• Neena Franklin led off with a single and with one away

• Alexandra Loizon earned the win, striking out five in the eight-inning effort
• Fast tallied two hits and drove home five runs

• Benedictine opened the scoring in the third inning of game two with a pair of runs
• Chada led off with a single and Skraba was hit by a pitch
• Both runners were sacrificed up a base and
Ashley Fisher stroked a two-run single to put Benedictine ahead
• Aurora, who won their first 15 games of the year, pulled within a run in the fourth
• Benedictine put two more runs on the board in the fifth to lead 4-2
• Gill plated a run with a sacrifice fly and
Colleen Schmit singled home another
• Aurora scored in the top of the sixth before Benedictine pulled away with five runs in the bottom of the inning
• Chada drove home a run with a single, Fast singled home a pair, and Gill also notched an RBI single
• Schmit doubled home the final run of the inning
STAT LEADERS: GM 2
• Fast threw the entire game in the circle to earn her first win of the year
• Benedictine finished with 11 hits in the win
• Fast notched three with two RBIs to help her cause
• Fisher, Schmit and Chada also logged two hits
• Fisher, Schmit and Gill all knocked home two runs
