LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team put a wrench in the South Division championship picture by recording a senior day split with visiting Dominican.

THE DETAILS - MATCH 1
• Benedictine came out strong after honoring the senior class, opening a 7-3 lead following a pair of aces from Jamie Janczak
• Dominican came back to lead by four at 20-16, but Benedictine recorded four consecutive kills to tie the score
• Molly Stock put down the second set point to hand Benedictine the opening set decision
• Dominican led 10-3 and opened a 19-8 lead before Benedictine made headway
• Benedictine pushed within two on several occasions but could not get over the hump
• Dominican led nearly the entire third set
• An ace handed the visitors a 19-17 lead in the fourth before kills from Molly Stock and Caroline O'Connor along with a Madelyn Sullivan ace were part of a four-point run to put Benedictine ahead
• Yngride JeanPhillipe broke a 23-23 deadlock with a kill and an error sent the contest to a deciding set
• Benedictine scored six-of-seven in the middle of the fifth set to grab control and streak to the win
• O'Connor, Brooke Huizenga and JeanPhillipe totaled kills during the run to deny Dominican the conference title
• Benedictine hit .393 in the fifth and .224 for the match

• Benedictine scored seven-of-eight points in the middle of the opening set to lead 13-8 following a kill from Estopare
• An ace from Primas pushed the lead to 19-13 and Huizenga ended the set with a kill
• Zurawski opened the second set with a kill but Benedictine did not lead again in the second
• Benedictine scored the opening point of the third, but Dominican went on to lead 13-3
• Stock put down a kill as Benedictine ripped off nine in a row to pull within 13-12
• An ace from Mojica would allow Benedictine to briefly lead at 16-15
• Benedictine was on top 21-19before the visitors scored four straight
• Four kills in the fourth during a six-point run enabled Benedictine to open a 15-11 lead
• The lead reached 17-12 and 18-13 before Dominican notched 10 points in a 12-point stretch to rally to the win and split the contests
• Benedictine was swept in a pair of contests with Dominican to open the season
