LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University baseball team ran their win streak to seven games by completing a four-game sweep of Dominican on Monday.

THE DETAILS - GM 1
• Benedictine used the long ball to rally from an early hole in the opener
• Dominican scored three runs in the top of the first and then did not score again in the contest
• Damen Castillo drilled a two-run homer in the bottom of the inning to bring Benedictine within 3-2
• Jack Surin tied the game with a double in the third before
Kevin Bushnell handed Benedictine a 6-3 lead with a three-run homer
• Surin homered in the fourth to make the score 8-3 as the attack continued
• Five runs in the sixth pushed the lead to double digits
STAT LEADERS - GM 1
• Justin Sosa started the game and worked four innings, striking out six
• Alexander Schram did not allow a baserunner in three perfect innings to earn the win, fanning three
• Six players posted two-hit contests as Benedictine pounded 14 in the win, eight of which were for extra bases
THE DETAILS - GM 2
• The second game was low-scoring until late
• Benedictine took the lead in the first inning after Bushnell worked a lengthy at bat into an RBI groundout
• Jack Carlson doubled home a run in the second and
Jack Feeley plated a run in the fourth with a groundout
• Holding a 3-1 lead, Benedictine exploded for 10 runs in the sixth
• Eight different players drove home runs in the inning as 14 came to the plate

• Drake Berman started and worked into the fifth inning
• Simon Herold picked up the win with three blank frames
• Feeley finished with three hits and three RBIs
• Carlson also drove home three
UP NEXT
Benedictine (13-6, 4-0 NACC) was supposed to host Concordia Wisconsin on Tuesday night, but the game has been postponed due to Concordia Wisconsin needing to make up a conference game. Benedictine will welcome Rockford for a pair of games on Saturday.
