Benedictine is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history! The team will play on Wednesday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. against Endicott College in Salem, Va. This location will serve as the home of all the information related to the team's appearance. Keep checking back as information will be updated as more becomes available.

DATES
The tournament will be played over four consecutive days. Four programs received a first round bye into the quarterfinals which will take place on April 22.
TICKETS
There will be 500 tickets allowed for each game of the day. The arena will be fully cleared and cleaned following each contest. Benedictine plays in the final game of the day for the entirety of the tournament so please allow for patience. Tickets are only available at the door and there will be no advance ticket sales. Tickets are on sale one hour before the scheduled start of each contest and are $12 each. There are no passes. Benedictine's match with Endicott takes place at 7:30pm local time in Virginia. Masks will be required at all times for fans in the venue. Please note as well that seating will be nowhere near the teams.
The teams and traveling party will be in Tier-1 protocols and interaction between tiers will be very limited and is only allowed under social distancing guidelines.

RANKING: Benedictine is ranked seventh in the latest AVCA Poll while Endicott is slotted ninth. Nine of the 12 teams in the tournament are ranked.
HISTORY: Benedictine hosted Endicott in 2017, dropping a five-set decision in the only meeting between the two programs.

Quarterfinals - Lancaster Bible College
Thursday, April 22 - 6:30 p.m. (Central)
RANKING: Lancaster Bible is currently tied for the 12th spot in the AVCA Poll.
HISTORY: This is believed to be the first meeting in any sport between Benedictine and Lancaster Bible.
QUICK SCOUT: Lancaster Bible was the top-ranked team in the East Region. The Chargers do not play in a conference and received a Pool B bid to the NCAA Tournament. Lancaster Bible has not played since March 20 due to Covid and scheduling difficulties. Lancaster Bible is in the NCAA Tournament for the second time and received a first round bye this year.

Semifinals - Southern Virginia
Friday, April 23 - 6:00 p.m. (Central)
RANKING: Southern Virginia is currently ranked sixth in the AVCA Poll.
HISTORY: This is believed to be the first meeting in any sport between Benedictine and Southern Virginia.
QUICK SCOUT: Southern Virginia was ranked behind Benedictine for most of the year in both the national and regional rankings before winning the Continental Volleyball Conference. The Knights are 16-3 on the year. Southern Virginia is the closest team to Salem and brought a slew of fans. The Knights swept Wentworth after receiving a first round bye to reach the semifinals.

Championship - Carthage

RANKING: Carthage is the top ranked team in the AVCA poll.
HISTORY: Benedictine has played Carthage every year they have been a program. Benedictine is 2-6 all-time against Carthage including a
3-0 loss this year on March 24. Last year Benedictine defeated Carthage in
four sets at home.
QUICK SCOUT: Carthage is the only team from the Midwest to have played in the national championship for men's volleyball at the NCAA Division III level, reaching the final in the first year of NCAA Division III in 2012. The championship will mark the first time two teams from the Midwest have played for the title.
