LISLE, IL - The firsts came in droves for the Benedictine University men's lacrosse team, who with a win over Edgewood wrapped up the program's first ever conference title.

THE DETAILS
- The contest marked the first ever meeting between the two programs in lacrosse
- The win marked the ninth in a row, setting a program record
- The win was also the 11th of the year, matching the single season record for victories
- Anthony Leahy and 
Scott Ransom both scored in the first minute of the contest as Benedictine tallied the first six goals of the game
- Caige Beuerlein scored a man-up goal late in the half to put Benedictine in front 14-3
- With the clock moving in the second half the pace slowed, but Benedictine tallied the final six goals
- Before the game, Benedictine honored the senior class
- Benedictine became the first ever winner of the NACC Championship as the conference began sponsoring the sport this year
STAT LEADERS
- Benedictine posted 52 shots and picked up 36 groundballs
- Thomas Tillett broke his own single game school record for assists by dishing out nine and also scoring twice
- Brogan Hall scored twice and added three assists
- Leahy scored four times and added an assist
- 12 different players scored
- Austin Todner won 18 faceoffs
- Bobby Tangredi and 
Evan Smith split time in goal

Benedictine (11-2, 6-0 NACC) will host Marian on Tuesday in the NACC Tournament opening round at 6:00 p.m. The contest will mark the first time that Benedictine will host a conference tournament game.
