MANCHESTER, IN - The Benedictine University softball team hit six homers to sweep Manchester on the road in a non-conference doubleheader.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine continued a string of big innings by scoring nine runs in the top of the second
• 13 batters came to the plate in the inning
• Taylor Skraba drilled a three-run homer during the frame
• Skraba continued to add to her single season school record total for longballs
• Becky Roncone,
Faith Chada,
Alyssa Gill,
Colleen Schmit, and
Asia Robinette all logged RBI singles with Roncone actually singling home a run twice
• Gill and Schmit homered during a five-run third while Skraba and Gill homered again in the fifth
• The second game opened with three runs in the top of the first
• Benedictine added three more in the second and used a two-run homer from
Sara Allison in the seventh as part of a five-run frame
• Benedictine has now won eight in a row
STAT LEADERS
• Skraba scored four runs and drove home five in the opener as Benedictine finished with 24 hits
• Gill finished with four hits and knocked in five
• Alexandra Loizon tossed the complete game, striking out 11
• The second game saw 15 hits with three coming from
Ashley Fisher, who also drove home three
• All nine members of the lineup logged a hit
• Megan Fast grabbed the win, working six innings
