Baseball Slugs to 17th Straight

LISLE, IL - Kevin Bushnell slugged a pair of homers and Benedictine hit three total in lighting the scoreboard to a season high run total in winning a 17th straight.

THE DETAILS
•
The teams consistently scored in the same inning as North Park scored in the top of the first before Benedictine countered with three
• The first two batters of the game drew walks and both scored to put Benedictine ahead on a double from Damen Castillo
• Nicholas Lee added an RBI single in the inning
• North Park took a 5-3 lead by scoring four in the fourth before Benedictine put up six in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good, using just one run-scoring hit
• Bushnell hit his first homer in the fifth to push the score to 11-5 and homered again as part of a five-run sixth which saw the lead reach 15-5
• The game came to an end with four runs in the eighth
• Castillo doubled home a run and Bushnell used an RBI single before Alex Cameron homered to left to end the contest
