#6 Men's Volleyball Sweeps into NACC Championship

LISLE, IL - Playing in front of fans for the first time at home, the sixth-ranked Benedictine University men's volleyball team rode the momentum to a sweep of Aurora and a spot in the NACC Championship.

THE DETAILS
•
Aurora came out strong after an opening round win on Tuesday, building a first set lead of 7-2 and 10-5
• Benedictine slowly chipped away tying the match with three straight points on kills from Tim Folliard, Jacob Grygo and a block from Martin Radomski
• An attack error enabled Benedictine to lead for the first time at 16-15
• Mike LeGros recorded an ace to put Benedictine first to 20
• With the set tied at 23-23, Chase Olson banged down consecutive kills to hand Benedictine the first
• Benedictine led 12-5 in the second and played from ahead the entire set, closing out on another kill from Olson
• Benedictine opened the third with back-to-back points and held a 7-3 lead
• The visitors battled back to within 15-14 before Benedictine rattled off four straight points to lead 19-14
• A serving error ended the match as Benedictine finished the sweep
• Benedictine hit .329 for the contest
