WHEATON, IL - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team finished play at Wheaton College on Saturday with a split.

THE DETAILS
CARROLL
- The first set was back and forth throughout
- Brooke Huizenga and
Yngride JeanPhillipe tallied kills as Benedictine netted the first three points
- Benedictine led 22-16, but Carroll notched seven straight to open a brief lead
- The teams traded points until Huizenga and Katily Estopare notched kills to end the set
- Carroll bounced back in the second and led 7-1 early and 16-3
- Benedictine led early in the third but Carroll finished five straight and used a 7-0 spurt late to pull away
- Alyssa Mojica opened the fourth with an ace before Carroll tallied four straight and did not trail again
WHEATON
- Benedictine met Wheaton for the second time this year
- Much of the first set was back and forth, as was the entire match
- Benedictine rebounded to win the second and third sets, rallying from down early in the second to win after Estopare banged down two kills and jeanPhillipe capped the set with a kill
- Grace Knutsen ended the third with a kill
- Wheaton led big in the fourth and held on depsite a late push from Benedictine
- Wheaton led for much of the fifth before Benedictine tallied three straight to knot the score at 10-10
- JeanPhillipe twice gave Benedictine match point before an error ended the contest
