LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team posted their best defensive performance of the year to knock off the leaders of the NACC, St. Norbert College.

THE DETAILS
- Benedictine led early 7-2 but St. Norbert came back to lead 10-8
- With much of the first half back-and-forth, St. Norbert led 28-24 with 1:34 left in the half but a free throw from Nick Kosich and a three from Frank Cunnea tied the game at the break
- Leading 32-30, Benedictine used a 10-0 run to open a 43-30 advantage on a three from Kosich
- St. Norbert came all the way back to battle within 45-44 with 6:40 left but a three from Cade Ellingson ignited a 13-0 run that saw Benedictine lead 59-45 and put the game away with 1:17 left

STAT LEADERS
- Benedictine held St. Norbert to just 26 percent shooting in the second half after opening with a 54 percent clip in the first half to finish the game at 38.5 percent
- The game featured six ties and four lead changes
- Benedictine knocked down 10 three-pointers and finished with a 38-29 edge on the glass
- Ellingson led Benedictine by scoring 16 off the bench
- Kosich and Trevor Montiel both tallied 14
- Marvin Agwomoh reeled in 10 rebounds while Michael Johnson notched nine points, seven assists and six rebounds
