The Benedictine University men's basketball team fell behind early and could not come back at Lake Forest, falling 85-61.

Lake Forest scored the first five points of the game and used a 10-0 run to lead by a 22-6 score just five minutes into action. Benedictine struggled from behind the arc in the contest and Lake Forest shot nearly 60 percent from the floor in the contest.
Brandon McCoy came off the bench to lead Benedictine with 11 points as the lone player in double figures.
Cullen Cosme added nine with seven rebounds.
Benedictine (0-2) plays in the Great Lakes Invitational this weekend against two tough non-conference opponents.
