The Benedictine University men's basketball team opened action at the Great Lakes Invitational hosted by Wabash College on Friday, falling 59-57 to Trine. The tournament features some of the top teams from around the Midwest. A tight contest throughout, the game featured three ties and 10 lead changes as Trine moved to 3-0. A pair of freshman reached double figures as Andrew Stoles netted 15 and
Brandon McCoy 11, both off the bench.
Jeff Kratz notched 12. Benedictine shot 42 percent in the game but Trine came on in the second half, hitting 55 percent to nab the victory.
