MADISON, WI - The Benedictine University men's basketball team was nipped on the road by Edgewood on Wednesday night.

THE DETAILS
- Edgewood led by as many as seven points in the first half but two free throws from Michael Johnson with 5:47 to go in the first brought Benedictine within 27-26
- The hosts were able to respond by extending the lead to double figures and took a 46-39 lead into the break
- Edgewood led by double digits for much of the second half, holding a 68-52 advantage with 11:41 remaining
- Benedictine slowly pecked at the deficit but Edgewood always had an answer
- Down 80-70, Jeff Kratz hit a jumper and Trevor Montiel knocked down a three-pointer to bring Benedictine within 80-75
- Edgewood scored the next four points, but two free throws from Marvin Agwomoh saw Benedictine down by just two at 85-83 in the final 30 seconds but Edgewood hit free throws for the win

STAT LEADERS
- Benedictine shot 50 percent from the floor in the game and held a 33-30 edge on the glass but Edgewood shot near 60 percent in the second half
- Agwomoh paced Benedictine with 23 points
- Nick Kosich made seven field goals including three triples to finish with 19
- Montiel logged 14 and Cade Ellingson kicked in 10 off the bench
