- Edgewood led by as many as seven points in the first half but two free throws from
Michael Johnson with 5:47 to go in the first brought Benedictine within 27-26
- The hosts were able to respond by extending the lead to double figures and took a 46-39 lead into the break
- Edgewood led by double digits for much of the second half, holding a 68-52 advantage with 11:41 remaining
