DAVENPORT, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team used four big innings to down William Paterson in Florida.

THE DETAILS
•
William Paterson jumped in front with a run in the bottom of the first
• After the first six batters were retired, Alex Cameron was hit by a pitch to open the third
• Peter Turelli reached on an error allowing Cameron to score and tie the game
• With the bases loaded All-American Kevin Bushnell stroked a two-run single to put Benedictine ahead 3-1
• A double steal allowed a fourth run to score
• William Paterson responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning to draw within 4-3
• Benedictine broke the game open with five runs in the fourth
• Ryan Doubek reached on an error to plate Cameron
• Chase Hanselman followed with a two-run single to make the score 7-3
• Damen Castillo logged a two-run single with two outs to push the lead to 9-3
• Turelli and Doubek notched RBI singles in the fifth and Castillo drew a bases loaded walk as the lead reached 12-3
• Bushnell launched his second homer of the year in the seventh, a three-run blast, to account for the final

Andrew Kurcz tossed six innings to notch his first win, allowing three runs on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts
• Austin Pizer threw the final frame
• Benedictine tallied 11 hits with all nine members of the lineup recording at least one
• Turelli scored four times with Cameron crossing the plate on three occasions
• Bushnell notched two hits and drove hom a season best five
• Castillo knocked in three with Doubek and Hanselman both plating a pair
