CLERMONT, FL - The Benedictine University softball team won a third straight in Florida, shutting out UW-Whitewater.

THE DETAILS
- Benedictine set the tone early, scoring three runs in the top of the first
- Taylor Skraba led off the game with a single and
Megan Fast followed with a walk before a sacrifice moved the runners to second and third
- Ashley Fisher opened the scoring with an RBI single
- Asia Robinette extended the lead to 3-0 with a two-run single
- Alexandra Loizon took over from there
- Loizon did not allow a hit until the fourth inning, retiring the first eight batters
- Three more runs scored in the top of the fourth when Fast, Fisher and
Colleen Schmit all tallied RBI singles
- The final two runs scored in the fifth on a two-out two-run single from
Alyssa Gill
STAT LEADERS
- Loizon nabbed her third win of the trip in as many starts by tossing the five inning complete game, allowing just two hits with a walk and five strikeouts
- Benedictine recorded 12 hits in the victory
- Nine different individuals posted hits
- Gill and Fisher both tallied two hits while driving home two each
- Schmit also notched two hits with Robinetter knocking home two
