SAUGET, IL - A season opening trip to St. Louis for the Benedictine University baseball team came to an end on Sunday with a loss to 12th-ranked Webster.

THE DETAILS
- The contest was scoreless until Webster plated the first run in the bottom of the third
- The hosts erupted for seven runs in the fourth, taking an advantage of an error to get into the Benedictine bullpen
- Cole Wilson homered as a pinch hitter in the top of the sixth to account for the lone Benedictine tally
- Webster ended the game with a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh
STAT LEADERS
- Stephen Sewruk suffered the loss after working 3.2 innings
- Jackson Bahn tossed 1.1 blank frames and 
Austin Pizer logged a scoreless frame as well
- Benedictine managed just three hits in the contest, two of which were for extra bases
- Kevin Bushnell doubled and 
Steven Salvino tallied the other hit
