ROCKFORD, IL - The Benedictine University men's volleyball team swept past Rockford to set the stage for a huge weekend match.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine led for most of the first set but Rockford did not go away
• Jacob Grygo notched a pair of kills and
Chase Olson followed suit as Benedictine tallied four in a row capped by a
Tim Folliard ace to open a 14-8 lead
• Rockford battled back to within a point late but a
Logan Fuglestad kill brought up set point
• After dropping the first point of the second set, Folliard and
Martin Radomski put down kills as Benedictine grabbed the lead and Folliard added a pair of aces
• Benedictine went on to lead by double figures and capped the set on a kill from Radomski
• Olson opened a stretch of five straight early in the third with a kill after Benedictine dropped the opening point to take a 5-1 lead
• Rockford battled within a point on two occasions but Benedictine was able to finish off the sweep
• Benedictine has now won 21 consecutive regular season conference contests
• Benedictine hit .413 for the match including a .591 mark in the second
