RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's volleyball team dropped a regular season conference match for the first time since 2019 by falling to #1 Dominican on the road in a tightly contested contest.

THE DETAILS
- Benedictine scored the first two points of the match and led 3-1 on a kill from
Chase Olson
- Dominican scored nine of 11 to open a 12-6 edge
- Benedictine kept it close but could not get the key point to turn the tide
- The second set also opened strong for Benedictine, building a 3-1 lead
- Nathan Klimisch put down a kill to tie the second set at 8-8, but again Dominican grabbed every key point and held off Benedictine
- Benedictine led for much of the third, building a 5-2 lead
- Three errors and a
Jacob Grygo kill helped Benedictine open a 10-8 lead
- Dominican hung around and made it tight, tying the set at 21-21 as the teams traded points late
- Benedictine made good on a second set point to close it out
- Dominican rolled away in the fourth, jumping ahead 6-1 and pulling away

- Benedictine hit just .167 for the contest including a negative percentage in the fourth after hitting .303 in the third
