LOVES PARK, IL - The Benedictine University softball team swept a pair of games from Rockford to run their win streak to five.

GAME ONE DETAILS
- Benedictine did not trail in the first contest
- Sara Allison doubled home a run in the second and
Alyssa Gill in the third to make the score 2-0
- Rockford cut the deficit in half with a run in the fourth
- Benedictine added to the lead with three runs in the fifth
- Ashley Fisher drove home a run with a groundout and
Megan Fast added a two-run homer in the inning to make the score 5-1
- Rockford scored again in the sixth but
Taylor Skraba drilled a three-run homer in the seventh to account for the final
GAME ONE LEADERS
- Benedictine finished with 11 hits in the contest
- Gill and
Colleen Schmit both tallied two hits
- Alexandra Loizon threw seven innings and allowed just one earned run while striking out six to earn her eighth win
GAME TWO DETAILS
- Benedictine had to come from behind to win the second game
- Skraba opened the scoring with a double in the third but Rockford tied the game in the bottom of the frame and plated two in the fourth to lead 3-1
- Asia Robinette homered in the sixth to bring Benedictine within 3-2
- The first two reached in the top of the seventh and after a sacrifice bunt Schmit singled home the tying run
- Allison put Benedictine ahead with one swing, a grand slam
GAME TWO LEADERS
- Fast and Skraba posted two hits apiece as Benedictine finished with nine hits
- Fast twirled the entire game in the circle, picking up her fifth win of the season
