CHICAGO, IL - The Benedictine University softball team returned to action by taking a pair of non-conference contests at North Park.

GAME ONE
- Ashley Fisher led off the game with a single and
Taylor Skraba drove home the first run with a single
- Colleen Schmit plated Skraba with a two-out RBI single
- North Park cut into the lead with a run in the bottom of the inning and both teams scored in the third with Skraba knocking home another
- The hosts tied the game in the fourth before Benedictine scored twice to take the lead for good in the fifth
- Alyssa Gill doubled home a run and Skraba added another RBI single
- Gill delivered a three-run double in the sixth and
Sara Allison doubled home two in the seventh
GAME ONE LEADERS
- Benedictine finished with 11 hits
- Gill posted three hits and drove home four
- Skraba knocked in three while
Megan Fast scored three times
- Alexandra Loizon worked six innings to improve to 6-2 on the year, striking out eight before
Leah Navarro worked the seventh
GAME TWO
- The second contest was much lower scoring as the teamperatures started to drop
- North Park took a 1-0 lead in the third
- Three runs scored for Benedictine in the fourth to nab the advantage
- Gill opened with a single and scored on a Skraba triple
- Asia Robinette was able to leg out a bunt single that scored Skraba to put Benedictine in front
- With two on and two down,
Faith Chada singled home Robinette
- North Park pulled within a run in the fifth but left the tying and go-ahead runs on base
- Benedictine finished off the win with a run scoring on an error in the seventh
GAME TWO LEADERS
- Fast earned the win by working five innings, allowing just one earned run
- Navarro logged the final two frames to pick up her second save
- Gill and Robinette both totaled two hits as Benedictine finished with eight in the second game
