Lisle, IL – Director of Student Activities, Harold Watson is pleased to announce Anisha Dharkar as head coach of the Benedictine University cheer program. 

"We are excited to have Coach Dharkar join the BenU family. With her experience coaching athletes of all different experience levels, I know she will be a great asset to the cheer program and create memorable gameday moments," Watson said. 

Dharkar cheered for one year at Bradley University in Peoria before completing her career at the University of Miami in Florida as a member of the Hurricane cheer squad. While at Miami she obtained her BA in Psychology and completed her MA in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University. As a member of that squad, she supported the Hurricane athletic teams at various sporting events and promotional activities. Dharkar brings an elite knowledge of the sport to the Eagles and has been an instructor for both Illinois Gymnastics Institute and Idol Cheer and Dance, where she has been teaching and coaching cheerleaders of all different ages and backgrounds. 

"I am excited to join the Student Activities team as Head Cheerleading Coach at Benedictine University," said Dharkar. I hope to provide students with the tools to become great athletes and great people through a positive environment.
