Nathan Rillo and
Gregory Hoard both scored three touchdowns as the Benedictine University football team pulled away in the second half to win the season opener over Finlandia in Northern Michigan 52-7.
Hoard ran for 170 yards and Rillo 167 as Benedictine rolled up 451 yards on the ground and 630 total yards. 2021 Gagliardi Trophy Semifinalist
Tyler Jarnagin completed 14 passes to seven different receivers, throwing for 179 yards while adding 39 on the ground.
Benedictine opens the home schedule next Saturday night against Loras at 6:00pm.
