The Benedictine University women's basketball team used a big third quarter to hold off Rockford and win 51-47 on Wednesday night. Benedictine shot 50 percent in the third quarter, outscoring Rockford 17-4. Rockford pulled within two in the fourth but Benedictine was able to hold on behind solid rebounding. Benedictine held a 45-38 edge on the glass with 19 on the offensive end.
Brianna Lake finished with 15 points while
Brilan McCory added 10.
