Women's Hoops Hangs Tough in Trip Finale

The Benedictine University women's basketball team completed action in California by dropping a 65-58 decision at Whitter College.

Whittier surged to a 12-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game but Benedictine came storming back to make the contest close. evening the score at halftime on a jumper from Jordan Carlquist in the final seconds.

Benedictine shot 37 percent in the game and held a 40-29 advantage on the glass. Autumn Rucker led Benedictine with 19 off the bench. Carlquist added 11.

Benedictine (1-9) visits North Park on December 30.
