Playing a non-conference game for the final time this season, the Benedictine University women's basketball team dropped a 66-64 nail-biter at North Park in Chicago.
The game featured 19 lead changes and nine ties. The largest lead by either side was six points when North Park led 61-55 midway through the fourth. Benedictine missed a three-pointer for the win at the buzzer.
Makenzie Carroll led Benedictine with 15 points to equal a career best.
Sophia Hardy added 11 in her third double-figure contest of the season. The bench contributed 22 points. Benedictine shot 41.5 percent including a 61.5 percent mark in the third quarter when the team scored 23 points. The team made 12 three-pointers in the game. Benedictine also finished +1 on the glass with a 31-30 advantage.
Benedictine (1-10) resume the conference schedule on Wednesday night in Wisconsin at Alverno.
